Costellos Story
|
The Costello family, neighbors, friends and all their friends used to frequent this neighborhood tavern, formerly known as “TJ Willies”. After the building became available, G. “Trey” Costello sought out his dream of owning a bar where people can come together outside their home lives, yet still feel at home. People come to wind down from the daily stresses of life or to celebrate life’s milestones with some of the best bartenders in town and by far the best patrons. There are many new faces and many familiar faces can be seen from way back in “TJ Willies” days. People from all over come to visit, but mostly you will see the same faces, sitting in their unofficially assigned chairs. In particular, the “day drinkers” or the “night crew”! There is subjectively, a “Corner of Knowledge” vs. “Corner of Non-sense”, in the bar area as well if that suits you. Trey and his Dad are “regulars” and can be seen dining at the “Manager’s Table” in the corner of the bar or most likely standing at the far end of the bar. There is a neighborly feeling and many people have made lifelong friendships. During the weekdays there is less of a crowd, Friday and Saturday nights can get crowded with live music band’s playing. (Check out our website for an Events Calendar at www.Costellosmv.com) With the help of my family and friends, my awesome staff, and of course my wonderful customers, Costello’s has come to be a neighborhood melting pot. Whether you are dining in or taking food to go, I hope you enjoy your experience. |
